Wyperfeld National Park

Overview

Wyperfeld National Park protects over 356,000 hectares of natural landscape and is home to abundant wildlife and a fascinating array of native flora.

Redgum fringed Outlet Creek and a chain of normally dry lake beds add variety to the park’s vast landscape of Mallee and heathland on rolling sandhills.

History

The name Wyperfeld is of German origin and the land was first reserved as a National Park in 1909.
